About
For the 2nd edition of La Foire Des Idées we decided to go to the city of Berlin, and this for 2 main reasons: the first being to conquer a larger and more diverse audience and the second being the desire for us to convey a strong message: the LFDI event is ready to go as much to the metropolises as to the small towns of Germany. We experienced a moment of exchange and sharing extremely qualitative and very rich. We added two new features:
1. The event now takes place over 2 days (Saturday and Sunday)
2. Training workshops have made their debut.
Find out for yourself.
Part 1
LFDI 2022 - The debates
LFDI 2023 - Panel 1
Health - Cancer and depression

Speakers:
Dr. Jimmy Zepa Neurosurgeon
Dr. Melodie Madala Internist
Dr. Njiki Pharmaceutical Industry
One of the topics that is a sure value in this meeting is the topic of health. It was important for us to put an emphasis on cancerous diseases for the simple reason that cancer is a disease that is more and more current but very poorly known in our community. But we did not only talk about cancer, but also about depression and it is an understatement to say that the time was not enough to cover these two subjects which are vast and deserve much more than a panel to be mastered.
LFDI 2023 - Panel 2
Art- How to brand your art in Germany?

Speakers:
Venant Ntiomo percussionist artist
Acèle Nadale book marketing specialist
Clark Yao painter
We are all aware that Africans, wherever they are, carry their culture and art with them; it even happens very often that they make it a passion and a profession in the West. The question we asked ourselves during this second edition was how to use new technologies, particularly social networks, to brand or optimally present this art to the wide audience that these platforms allow us to reach. A very mixed panel at the beginning if we are to believe the opinions and expectations of the participants before the event, but one of the most appreciated at the end of this edition. It was truly a treat to listen and discuss with talents on this theme.
LFDI 2023 - Panel 3
Entrepreneurship - Doing business in Cameroon from the diaspora

Speakers:
Daniel Tekoudjou CEO\Founder AAD Institut
Fritz Fokouen Co-CEO Farmadi
Dimitri Mbe Waffo Co-CEO Farmadi
Manuela Nouyadjam CEO\Founder BBM Institut
This panel was clearly the most anticipated of all, it will have led to deep conversations, relevant questions and reactions and answers full of motivation and strength for the audience who had come to have practical keys and tips. One of the pillars of our event is networking and creating collaboration and this panel was clearly part of this same dynamic. We had panelists who learned from other panelists and participants and vice versa. Thank you again to all these speakers rich in knowledge and experience who made the choice to share for the greater good of others.
Part 2
LFDI 2022 - The masterclasses
LFDI 2023 - Masterclass 1
How to create hype around a project launch

Host: Audrey Syntiche
New this year: training workshops or masterclasses, which are a spin-off of last year's presentations, with a more practical and focused approach. We started Saturday evening with a workshop on creating hype when launching a project, led by Audrey Syntiche. This workshop focused on helping new and experienced entrepreneurs looking to launch a project find the best way to introduce it to their audience. We discussed storytelling, personal branding, hype, social media, and niche markets. It was also the place to ask more personal and specific questions, given the number and mindset of the participants. We can humbly say that it was a great introduction to this activity.
LFDI 2023 - Masterclass 2
How to Master Public Speaking

Host: Teflon Foudjou
Sunday morning we started with the second masterclass which was that of Sorelle Foudjo and which focused on public speaking. The subject is more than topical, but on the other hand is not always addressed in major events, yet it is essential for any entrepreneur, talent or artist to know how to express themselves in public and hold an audience. She therefore took us into the world of the stage with practical exercises from the beginning of the discussions and continued with role-playing to allow each of the participants, even if only for the duration of a workshop, to face their fears and learn to overcome them thanks to others. It was a great moment of exchange, but not only that, it was also a moment of sharing and questioning, of awareness and intense work on self-confidence.
LFDI 2023 - Masterclass 3
How to organize a successful event

Host: Henri Donfack
To end these workshops, the podium was given to the conductor of LFDI, the one who is behind all the organization and the realization of the needs and dreams of Sorelle and Audrey, Henri Donfack. He spoke to the participants about the effective organization of a successful event. How do we prepare for it? How do we negotiate contracts with service providers? How do we react when something unexpected happens? All these problems and sub-problems that the public does not see because they are managed upstream and downstream, how can we get around them? This is a non-exhaustive list of the important points of his workshop which was all the more realistic as the situations he described were happening in real time. So you understand that the teaching was rich and practical. The workshops were very popular, but also congratulated at the end of the event and we can only work to organize more next year.

Venant Ntiomo the lion - Drummer and Percussionist
Once again we called on the best and they managed to bring more color to the event.
This orchestra, which offers a repertoire of songs from various African origins, was able to convince the audience during the breaks and tastings, which, thanks to them, also became moments of relaxation. Thanks to Valère Kamdem, representing the Sanza orchestra, and to the artists Gedeon Pimi, Adrien Nanfah, and Lion Ntiomo, who helped add a touch to this musical cocktail.
Part 4
LFDI 2023 - Gastronomy
LFDI 2023 - Gastronomy

Our Chefs:
Arim
Orly
Two days of events, three discussion panels and 3 training workshops make up a tough program and to follow it it is very important to be well fed. This is why our gastronomy at LFDI is very rich and diverse. Our chefs Arim and Orly have pulled out all the stops, with a menu worthy of the event and its participants. This is without forgetting the mignardises and mini-buffets prepared and served with delicacy by Duval, Achille and our entire team of volunteers. They were moments of delight and extraordinary tasting each time.
Part 5
LFDI 2023 - The Networking Evening
LFDI 2023 - The Networking Evening

Another new feature of this second edition was the networking evening. This key moment, placed in the program at the end of Saturday evening to allow those present to discuss, exchange in depth on their different activities, create collaborations and consolidate existing relationships. It is a select moment during which we feel part of something bigger, the entire room is invaded by the same energy and the same mindset and we inevitably come out with something concrete.
It is simply a moment of networking and rich discussions and it will have made an entrance as felicitous as that of the masterclasses, which simply makes us proud.
