About

For this 3rd edition of LFDI we traveled once again and our plane landed in the city of FRANKFURT.

This year again, a small new feature has been added to the program, namely the Practical Work, a short practical moment of shared reflection between participants followed by a presentation.

A few images to bring you some of the highlights and special moments of this edition.

1st activity: Discussion panels

Entrepreneurship Panel

Speakers:

  • Donald Mekountchou - CEO of Kemit & Sure

  • Liliane Tchassi - Co-founder Immofinazwelt

  • Rufine Songué - Co-founder Afro-Fusion Collective gUG

A highly anticipated panel discussion focused on finance and startup capital management for entrepreneurs. Our panelists explored the topic from every angle, and the audience emerged from the discussion with concrete tools to launch a project, while also knowing where and how to obtain financing if needed.

The final panel, held on the second day of the fair, focused on the future of Africa and the participation of the diaspora in this awakening and development of our still underdeveloped countries. Ideas were shared, arguments were presented, opinions were challenged, and ultimately, we were able to reach a conclusion and mutually agree to share responsibility for the development of our Africa.

Health Panel

  • Dr. Valerie Gakou - Occupational Physician/Speaker/Aesthetic Physician

A rich and explosive panel discussion that sparked a tremendous amount of discussion, given the topic's relevance. Our panelists engaged with a highly curious and participatory audience, allowing for an even richer and more comprehensive exchange.

2nd activity: Masterclasses

Become a Pro at Writing Scientific Reports with LaTex - Sacker Ngoufack

A masterclass specially designed to allow participants of this edition of LFDI to familiarize themselves with the powerful tool that is LaTex. We were treated to a true beginner's course, and above all, the seeds of curiosity about this software were sown in everyone.

How to choose your financing based on the project? - Donald Mekountchou

The aim of this masterclass was to explore with participants the different financing options available to entrepreneurs and how to choose the one best suited to the project in question.

Early Detection: Preventive Tests in Germany - Saintiche Chedjou

To stay fit and prevent illnesses, it is necessary to know where and how to have your preventive checkups, and it is this vital and extremely useful information that Dr. Chedjou wanted to share with us during a 1-hour masterclass. We left very satisfied and even more concerned about our health, which was the goal of such a masterclass.

Burnout: True Ideas and Preconceived Ideas - Dr. Valerie Gakou

The concept of burnout, still largely unknown in the Black community, is a topic that is highly relevant today. We therefore wanted to discuss it with an expert in the field, and the exchange was most enlightening. New concepts were presented, and at the end of this masterclass, each participant was now aware of the consequences of excessive or continuous stress.

3rd activity: Gastronomy

Two days of events, three discussion panels, and four training workshops make for a hefty program, and to keep up with it, it's very important to be well-fed. That's why our gastronomy at LFDI is so rich and diverse. Our chefs, Duval and Ronny, have pulled out all the stops, with a menu worthy of the event and its attendees. Not to mention the petits fours and mini-buffets delicately prepared and served by our chefs. Moments of delight and extraordinary tasting every time.

4th activity: The networking evening

Another highly sought-after activity: the networking evening. This key moment, included in the program at the end of Saturday evening, allows attendees to discuss, exchange in-depth views on their various activities, create collaborations, and strengthen existing relationships.

It's a special moment during which you feel like you belong to something bigger, the whole room is filled with the same energy and the same mindset and you inevitably come away with something concrete.

It was simply a moment of networking and rich discussions and it will have made an entrance as praised as that of the masterclasses, which simply makes us proud.
